Chery cars entered the top five sales in Kazakhstan

According to statistics from the Khazaqstannyk-Autokolik Odaga (KAO), car sales in Kazakhstan increased by 69% in October 2023, selling 17,115 cars and light commercial vehicles and more than 1,000 trucks and buses. In just 10 months this year, Kazakh dealers sold 156,288 cars.

Automobile sales ranking

Anar Makasheva, president of KAO, said that in October, new car sales in Kazakhstan exceeded the 150,000 mark, already exceeding the whole of last year. The 2023 results will be a record for automotive retail in the country; According to KAO, about 190,000 new cars will be sold. However, in the first quarter of next year, growth will slow down, largely depending on changes in market conditions, while the number of offers and options to buy cars from official car dealers will increase.

In October, Chevrolet ranked No. 1 among the top 10 best-selling brands (3,821 vehicles). Hyundai dealers sold 3,428 vehicles, while Kia dealers sold 2,386 vehicles. Chery Automobile ranked fourth with 1,204 units sold. Toyota ranked fifth for the second month in a row, selling 1,184 vehicles. JAC moved up to sixth place with 793 units sold. Haval ranked seventh, with 786 vehicles sold. Rounding out the top 10 were JETOU (620 units)and Changan Automobile (543 units)   Entered Omoda Ranking for the first time (351).

Model sales ranking

The leading models sold in October 2023 are the Chevrolet Cobalt (2,329 units), the Hyundai Tucson-975 units, and the Hyundai SantaFe-915 units. They were followed by the Chevrolet Onix (841 vehicles), Chery Tiggo 2 (711 vehicles), Kia Cerato (548 vehicles), Toyota Camry (540), Kia Ceed(450), Hyundai Elantra (415) and Kia Sportage (406).

From January to October, Hyundai led the way with nearly 38,500 units sold, followed by Chevrolet with 35,800 units and Kia with nearly 21,000 units sold. Rounding out the top five were Chery (9,620 vehicles sold) and Toyota (just over 8,000).
