China’s first domestically produced large cruise ship successfully undocked

According to Xinhua News Agency, at noon on June 6th, China’s first domestically produced large cruise ship, the “Aida Modu”, was successfully undocked and is expected to be completed and delivered by the end of this year.

According to the report, on June 6th, the first domestically produced large cruise ship “Aida Modu”, built by China Shipbuilding Corporation Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd, was docked, marking the comprehensive transition of the domestic large cruise ship project to the dock mooring and commissioning stage, and is expected to be completed and delivered by the end of this year. After delivery, it will start from Shanghai, take the route to Japan and Southeast Asia, and launch the medium and long route of the “Maritime Silk Road” in due course.

The first Chinese made large cruise ship with white coating, streamline hull and “Dunhuang Flying Ribbon” has been named “Aida Magic City”, which means “starting from Shanghai, Aida World”. The cruise ship is 323.6 meters long and 37.2 meters wide, with a total weight of 135500 tons. It is 24 stories high, has 2826 cabins, and can accommodate more than 6500 people. The ship is equipped with luxury hotels, cinemas, theaters, and water parks, just like a “mobile sea city”.
