Master Salutes Local Foodservice Heroes

The COVID-19 outbreak occurred right before the Lunar New Year forced hundreds of millions of people across China to stay at home. All public gatherings were banned to help prevent the spread of the virus. F&B businesses nationwide are hitting hard, especially small to medium restaurants that would face the growing challenge of operation during difficult times.

Though under heavy financial burden, we see foodservice heroes, including take-out deliverymen, restaurant owners, chefs and waiters continuing to maintain their services available, to provide meals and serve people who are stranded in their homes, to support people in frontline and those who have resumed work. Master joins hands with Meicai, China’s leading catering supply chain service provider initiated the salute campaign to thank them for their efforts to serve meals during difficult times.

Master together with Meicai launched the 1st super brand day, providing benefits to over 3 million restaurants. From March 13th to April 3rd, 36,000 free samples of Master WJX soy sauce will be distributed to B/C restaurants in 14 cities, including Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Foshan and Shanghai, sending our warmth, offering benefits and assisting the recovery of catering. Moreover, Master purchased 4,000 OOH bus shelter spots and lift ads in Guangzhou and Shenzhen to salute those unsung foodservice heroes. The ongoing COVID-19 epidemic will have a temporary impact on China’s F&B businesses.
