France to build 54 new onshore wind farms

French media said the government for the development of renewable energy has set ambitious goals, but the last two project bidding are affected by technical difficulties , the next bidding will start on December 4, the total power of the project is 925 megawatts.

In addition, with regard to offshore wind power, the Government has proposed two offshore wind projects in the Mediterranean Sea, each with a power of 750 megawatts, the first located in the côtes de l’Aude, with a 48-square-kilometre first phase and a 96-square-kilometre second phase; and the second located in the golfe de Fos, with a 52-square-kilometre first phase and 103-square-kilometre second phase, although the two projects are still in the stage of technical validation.
